The Flaming Star

IC405 (Flaming Star nebulae) it gets its name due to the apparent flames form of the dust and gas surrounding the main star. This star designated as AE Aurigae which is visible in this photo to the center and right , is so hot that is actually blue. The light that emits is so powerful that it pushes the electrons of gas that surrounds it, when a proton recaptures the electron it yields a red light. There violet tones comes from a mix of the Blue light from the star and the red light that the gas emits. This wanderful object is 1500 light years away from my backyard and it is 5 years light years from one side to the other.
